Term IV - Curriculum Design Project
The assignment for Term IV is to create an integrated, inquiry-oriented curriculum plan to teach in our spring student teaching placement.
Through conversations with my Classroom Mentor, consultation of state and national 3rd grade standards, as well as my own reflections on the needs of my students, the unit that I planned centers around learning to take a new perspective. More specifically, in this case, students will take on the perspective of Mayflower passengers on their voyage to the "New World" in order to complicate their previous assumptions about the historical event.
Please explore my own journey through the creation of the curriculum, as well as the plans I have crafted to guide my students' experiences of the unit.
