Term III - Analysis of Teaching

This assignment consisted of 3 important aspects of teaching: 1) designing and teaching small-group lessons, 2) analyzing teaching in a way that supports continued growth as a teacher and 3) taking an inquiry stance toward a larger overarching question.
 

For this assignment, I designed and taught small-group lessons to first graders in my student teaching placement in a West Philadelphia public school. You can find lesson plans for the following, by clicking on the images, below.

  • Literacy: Using context clues to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words. 

  • Social Studies: People live in many different environment.

  • Math: Missing-part addition story problems.

  • Science: Engineers are problem solvers.
